Maisstärke, Süßstoff und Aroma in die restliche Milch geben und gut verrühren, wenn die Milch kocht vom Feuer nehmen und die Mischung in die kochende Milch gießen und noch einmal aufkochen dann etwas abkühlen lassen.

Sponge cake ingredients:
3 eggs
approx. 100 ml milk
3 tbsp egg white powder
2 tsp baking powder
sweetener
Vanilla pudding:
0.4 litre milk 0.1% fat
2 heaped tbsp cornflour (2 TP)
1 tbsp sweetener vanilla flavouring - a few drops or
1 bag of vanilla pudding and flavouring
Preparation:
Preheat oven to 180 degrees
Cook the pudding.
But only with 400 ml milk
or make your own vanilla pudding:
Bring 275ml milk to the boil,
Add the cornflour, sweetener and flavouring to the remaining milk and mix well, when the milk is boiling remove from the heat and pour the mixture into the boiling milk and bring to the boil again, then leave to cool slightly.
Sponge mixture
Beat the egg whites with a pinch of salt until stiff
Mix the egg yolks, milk and sweetener and gradually stir in the egg whites mixed with the baking powder, then fold in the beaten egg whites.
Place 2 tablespoons of batter on a baking tray lined with baking paper directly next to each other so that they are touching, press a little into the centre. Keep a little distance from the next one. Make sure that two ‘nests’ are touching and bake together. When the baking tray is full, pour the pudding into the hollows, then place in the oven for approx. 15 minutes until the pretzels have a nice colour.
